Legislators had a full schedule during the seventh week of the 2020 Legislative Session. The deadline for introducing bills was on Monday night, so the calendar quickly became full with bills and resolutions to discuss. On Monday, February 3rd, several legislators (including myself) paired up with youth from around our state to help show cattle at one of the livestock portions of the Dixie Nationals. The Dixie Nationals is one of the biggest Ag events in our state, and attracts livestock, acts, performers and people from around the state and country. This was the first of scheduled events. During the third week of the 2020 Legislative Session, Speaker Philip Gunn made the much anticipated announcement of committee assignments. I am honored to have been named Vice-Chairman of the following three committees: Apportionment and Elections, Congressional Redistricting, and Legislative Reapportionment.
